Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Information technology (IT) service provider. Tasks: Confer with clients to identify requirements. Consult with clients to develop and document Website requirements. Prepare mock-ups and storyboards. Source, select and organize information for inclusion and design the appearance, layout and flow of the Website. Create and optimize content for Website using a variety of graphics, database, animation and other software. Develop policies, procedures and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches. Research and evaluate a variety of interactive media software products. Lead and co-ordinate multidisciplinary teams to develop Website graphics, content, capacity and interactivity. Conduct reviews to assess quality assurance practices, software products and information systems. Conduct tests and perform security and quality controls. Computer and technology knowledge: Adobe Acrobat Reader. Adobe Illustrator. Adobe Photoshop. HTML. JavaScript. CSS. HTML editing software. Web service design. MS Office.
