Read blueprints, written specifications and production drawings. Prepare and submit reports. Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery. Arrange for maintenance and repair work. Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll and other summaries. Ensure proper functioning of equipment. Light cleaning duties. Maintain work records and logs. Monitor personnel workloads and locations. Organize warehouse and work areas. Perform general office duties. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Recruit and hire staff. Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units. Co-ordinate traffic flow of supplies. Compile worksheets and specifications of orders. Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner. Estimate type and quantity of materials and labour required for production, construction and other projects. Monitor production progress. Prepare and maintain progress and other reports. Project management. Provide customer service. Train workers in duties and policies. Arrange training for staff. Conduct performance reviews. Co-ordinate, assign and review work. Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations. Maintain vehicle operator work records. Operate radio equipment. Process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment. Record mileage, fuel use, repairs and other expenses. Respond to urgent calls from individual who find themselves in life threatening situation and who require assistance . Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment. Organize and maintain inventory. Establish work schedules and procedures. Contact customers to deliver requested wakeup calls. Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization. Supervision: 5-10 people. Computer and technology knowledge: Spreadsheet.
