Education: Bachelor's degree. Social work, other. Tasks: Evaluate the effectiveness of social programs . Interview client individually, in families, or in groups, to assess their situation and problems to determine the types of services required . Take authorized protective action when necessary. Perform administrative tasks. Plan programs of assistance for clients. Refer clients to agencies that provide financial assistance, legal aid, housing, medical treatment and other services. Serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team of professionals working with a client group. Advocate on client's behalf in courts or at hearings. Lobby for solutions to problems affecting client groups. Conduct social research. Apply for social program funding. Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops or symposia. Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and the patient's outcomes. Develop prevention and intervention programs to meet community needs. Monitor and evaluate. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Membership with the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW). Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Health benefits: Dental plan.
