Tasks: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Instruct apprentices. Operate CADD and other computer software systems. Assemble wood products such as window sashes, doors, boxes, pallets, ladders and barrels. Repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Handling heavy loads. Large workload. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines.
