The<p>Burnaby School District is recruiting for FULL-TIME<p> HVAC Technicians. This position<p>services, upgrades, installs, repairs and inspects heating and ventilation<p>equipment.<p>A<p>variety of pipefitting duties, including inspecting and cleaning boilers, roof<p>top ventilation units, forced air units, cooling plants and associated<p>equipment as well as calibrate and repair pneumatic and electronic controls and<p>thermostats, including DDC systems are also pivotal functions of this<p>position. This position works with<p>computer software (programming and scheduling) for automated heating and<p>ventilating systems as required.<p><p> <p>Required Qualifications & Experience : <p>· <p>Completion of Grade 12<p>· Trades<p>Qualification (TQ) in Steamfitting/Pipefitting trade or a TQ in a relevant trade<p>· Gasfitter?s<p>Certificate (Class B) [Class A is preferred]<p>· Restricted<p>electrical ticket is an asset<p>· Four<p>years related work experience as a Journeyman in HVAC service coupled with<p>boiler maintenance and DDC/building automation experience is required<p>· Valid<p>B.C. Driver?s License (Class 5)<p>· Extensive<p>knowledge of current techniques, methods, procedures and equipment applicable<p>to the HVAC trade, plus knowledge of computerized control software and<p>equipment is required<p> <p>We are looking for a self-starter with an ability<p>to organize daily tasks, work independently and as a member<p>of a team.
