<p>School District 22 is hiring for a Dispatcher - Human Resources. You must be a self-starter and have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. This is a 10 month position, working 35 hours per week.<p>POSITION SUMMARY: <p> Under the supervision of the director of human resources the incumbent dispatches teachers teaching on call and maintains associated records.<p>POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Dispatching teachers teaching on call by responding to requests to fill absences, contacting teachers teaching on call for assignment and notifying the school of the replacement. <p> Record keeping including data entry, preparing and monitoring a variety of reports and compiling supporting documentation.<p> Maintaining a variety of files and records and reconciling absentee records.<p> Communicating with staff, responding to inquiries. Required Education and Experience: Grade 12 plus six (6) months of a post-secondary office of business administration certificate.<p> BAC11 and BAC12 certificate equivalent to Okanagan College.<p> Six months of recent successful experience in the secretarial field. <p> Keyboarding 40 wpm.Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proven ability to follow established procedures and policies, including TTOC dispatch manual and collective agreements, with moderate judgement required. Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff and the public using tact and discretion to clarify and exchange information of a detailed or specialized nature. Proven organizational skills.<p> Proven ability to work independently and handle inquiries with minimal direction. <p> Physical capability to perform the job duties in a standard office environment. <p> Maintains the confidentiality of sensitive information seen or heard.<p> Proven skills managing computer-based information systems (data input, file maintenance, data retrieval) including intermediate to advanced computer skills to accurately and efficiently utilize word processing, spreadsheet, database and communications software.<p> Willingness to obtain ongoing learning of the automated dispatch system. <p> Ability to maintain confidentiality. WAGE : $29.35 per hour <p>SHIFT : 35 hours per week - 10 month position <p>This is a union position, CUPE Local 5523 and the hourly rate of pay is set out above.<p>While all applicants will be considered, preference will be given to qualified applicants who self-declare Indigenous ancestry.<p>POSTING: #139
