Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Sports therapy. Tasks: Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Help physical therapists. Order and purchase equipment. Confer with other health professionals. Process files and paperwork. Schedule and confirm appointments. Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Organize and maintain inventory. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Office. MS Outlook. MS PowerPoint. MS Windows. MS Word. Area of specialization: Physiotherapy. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods.
