<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrate excellent working knowledge of quality systems and leading a team</li><li>Possess and effectively apply intellect, judgment and management skills to achieve desired business performance results</li><li>Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner</li><li>Partake in audits of quality, sales, production and administration to drive process standardization and continuous improvement</li><li>Review production / quality trends, communicate and make recommendations to president and initiate cost-effective actions</li><li>Manage staffing demands, performance appraisals and resolve employee relation issues and conflicts</li><li>Oversee the scheduling and completion of preventative maintenance tasks</li><li>Follow and comply with all AS9100 REV D and ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing and quality standards, regulations, legislative and customer requirements to ensure highest standards are maintained</li><li>Abide with instructions, regulations and safety policies (wear appropriate PPE)</li><li>Any other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE</strong></p><ul><li>7 years' experience, in the manufacturing management sector</li><li>Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering is an asset</li><li>Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate others</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills</li><li>The proven ability to meet deadlines while under pressure and effectively handle a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment</li><li>This individual is required to have strong computer skills with the ability to use various computer applications</li><li>Ability to read and interpret drawings</li><li>Knowledge of CNC machining, EDM machining, tooling, assembly and kitting</li><li>Effectively communicate information with other managers and other employees</li><li>Motivated to learn and able to work independently</li><li>Willingness to be cross train and cross train co-workers</li><li>Security clearance, including criminal record check</li><li>Own steel-toe safety, CSA certified</li></ul><p><strong>BENEFITS</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive wages</li><li>Excellent benefit package (after probation)</li><li>Deferred profit-sharing plan (after 6 months)</li><li>Full time, standard hours: 8-4:30pm hours with overtime and weekend opportunities, when required</li></ul></div>Company Description<div>Universal Precision Technology is a well-established organization that specializes in the manufacturing of precision components and sub-assemblies for the aerospace, aircraft, military, medical, optical and defense sectors.
