Job Description Temporary Call-in (for relief purposes)Clinical Occupational Therapist I - Community Supports, Patient Services, LTC, and Rural HealthCorner Brook, NL Duties: This clinical position requires a highly independent professional. The successful incumbent will be required to travel throughout a Western Zone providing Occupational Therapy services across multiple program areas including but not limited to acute care, long term care, and community-based services. The primary purpose is to facilitate optimal occupational performance for clients/patients/residents with a wide variety of physical, cognitive, psychosocial, developmental, or environmentally induced impairments. Clinical work involves the assessment, treatment, planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical outcomes for clients whose occupational performance is impaired due to normal aging, illness, injury or developmental disability. Required Qualifications: Graduation from an approved school of Occupational Therapy with a Bachelor's or Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent). Current registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador Occupational Therapy Board and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists are required. A minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Clinical Occupational Therapist working across various program areas would be an asset. Candidates should possess well-developed organizational, communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential. Experience in program management and evaluation would be an asset. *Satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position. Note: The use of a private vehicle is a condition of employment with travel throughout the region being required.
