Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Baking and pastry arts/baker/pastry chef. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Bake shop. Tasks: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders. Bake mixed dough and batters. Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards. Operate machinery. Food specialties: Breads and rolls. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Dependability. Reliability. Team player.
