Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Tasks: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment. Repair cable signals. Test equipment to locate transmission faults. Install trunking systems, circuits and equipment. Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures. Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets. Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access. Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers. Splice, join and connect wires. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Willing to travel. Willing to travel for extended periods. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Repetitive tasks. Ability to distinguish between colours.
