Our schools are dispersed geographically and range in size and composition:-13 elementary schools<p>-1 middle school<p>-1 K-10 school<p>-4 secondary schools<p>-2 K-12 schools<p>-online learning and blended programs<p>-an extensive array of program options, including Aboriginal Education, Late French Immersion, Outdoor Programs, and a strong International Program.The annual pay range for a full time teacher is $61,522 to $108,126, with placement on the range based on experience and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.Position Description: The English Language Learner Teacher is a member of district Staff working under the direction of the Director of Instruction, Inclusive Education or designate. The English Language Learner Teacher works collaboratively with district and school staff in building capacity to support English language learning in the classroom for Ministry of Education and Child Care funded English language learners. This position requires an enthusiastic, high energy, experienced and dedicated educator. This assignment is a district teaching position with responsibilities to schools and staff throughout the Creston Family of Schools.Schedule: <p>Minimum work schedule is from 8:00 am - 4:00 p.m. The posting is 3 days one week and 2 days the following week (0.50FTE). Days of the week will be determined with the Director; however, the schedule determined will be consistent throughout the year. Due to district travel, meetings, and work commitments, schedule adjustments will arise and will be determined by the Director of Instruction or designate. Exemplary interpersonal, organizational and consultation skills.<p>7. Possession of a current valid BC Drivers License.Specific Additional Qualifications: <p>An advanced certificate (TESOL or equivalent) and/or a combination of specialized advanced relevant university-level graduate coursework and experience teaching English Language Learners that demonstrate the following:<p>?Methodology and appropriate approaches for teaching ELL <p>?Applied linguistics <p>?First and second/additional language acquisition/learning <p>?Language assessment/testing theory and practice <p>?Cross-cultural communication
