The Board operates 2 administration buildings and 21 schools (18 elementary, 2 secondary) in 13 communities covering 7851 square kilometers for the welfare of 4,580 pupils. For more information visit our web site at: https://rccdsb.ca/ <p>JOB SUMMARY: <p>The mandate of the Campus Youth Worker is to provide supervision and promote student safety. The Campus Youth Worker will be working in an environment involving students in Grades 8 to 12. Under the direction and supervision of the Principal and Vice-Principal, the primary responsibilities of the Campus Youth Worker will include: Circulating on the campus, both internally and externally;<p> Monitoring student behaviour and attendance, to communicate and to report as necessary to school authorities;<p> Assisting in the maintenance and enhancement of a safe school environment;<p> Other related duties.QUALIFICATIONS : 2-3 year Community College Diploma in the field of Youth Worker, Certificate in Developmental Services Worker Program, Behaviour Management Technology or related education and experience; <p> Experience working with adolescents;<p> Superior inter-personal skills important for school based activities;<p> self-directed, critical thinking team player with excellent organizational skills; <p> a composed, discreet and profession manner, and the ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines with minimal direction; CLOSING: All interested applicants are invited to submit an updated resume including details of qualifications, experience and professional references.<p> TO NOTE: Applications sent directly to the schools or to Human Resources will NOT be considered.<p> It is imperative that all NEW applicants to the Board submit an ORIGINAL current, satisfactory Vulnerable Screening Criminal Background Check prior to commencement of employment. <p> We thank all candidates for their interest; however, only those shortlisted will be contacted.RCCDSB Is committed to barrier-free selection processes and therefore if contacted for this position or testing, you should advise the HR Department in a timely fashion of the accommodation measures required to enable you to be assessed in a fair and equitable manner.
