*POSITION:* Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
CLASSIFICATION LEVEL: Trades
*PRIMARY ROLE*
The Industrial mechanic (Millwright) is responsible for the repair, maintenance and installation of the plant?s processes, and utility equipment. The Industrial mechanic (Millwright) performs daily preventative maintenance on the plant?s equipment and facilities. In addition, they will make adjustments and repairs to production equipment, as the need arises, during the course of production and often in cooperation with equipment operators to assist with solving these issues.
*DUTIES*
? Provide maintenance services as assigned, throughout the plant.
? Provide maintenance services for new construction and repairs within the Plant according to safety, quality and trade standards and guidelines.
? Resolve plant mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
? Provide supervision feedback on information regarding jobs, including determining time required, material needs, labor requirements and impact on uptime.
? Provide maintenance services on rotating 12 hour shifts as assigned and be available for overtime. This would include, day shifts, night shift and weekends.
? Perform PM requirements for process controls and other related plant equipment.
? Perform other trades practices on work assignments within ability and skill level.
? Work in accordance with all safety standards and codes.
? Other duties as assigned.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
? Minimum grade 12 or equivalent education
? Inter-provincial Trade certification ? Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A License)
? Rigging and hoisting
? Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
? Pumps: Vacuum, piston, centrifugal, and related equipment
? Piping systems, and valves.
? Fans, blowers, and related equipment
? HVAC systems
? Power transmission (Bearings, belts, gears, motors)
? Conveying systems
? Troubleshooting
? Possessing another Trade certificate (Instrumentation and Control Technician 447A, Industrial Electrician 442A, welding 456A) is an asset. Basic Knowledge in the following areas
? Machining using lathes, milling, and drill presses
? Welding (TIG)
? The use of predictive maintenance tools (Vibration analysis, inferred, ultrasonic, oil analysis).
? Computer skills - working knowledge of basic Maintenance management software (SAP) and Micro Soft applications.
? Capability to read, interpret and utilize blueprints and drawings Job Type: Full-time Experience:
