Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Noisy. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Tasks: Assist machine operators or assemblers in manufacturing process. Transport material and tools to and from work areas. Adjust calender rollers for production line change. Weigh resins, colorants and other chemicals according to formulae. Unload mixture into container or conveyor for further processing. Place weighed materials in mixing machines. Operate mixing machine to blend plastic and other chemicals to a specific consistency and viscosity. Follow formulation card to mix resin batches for injection moulding process. Change dies on extruding machines according to production line change. Assist in operation, repair and maintenance. Monitor and inspect quality of material produced. Trimming and sanding plastic or fiberglass parts. Prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line change. Organize and maintain inventory. Set up and operate calender machines to transform plastic bales or slabs into continuous sheets or films of specified thickness. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Fast-paced environment. Overtime required. Ability to distinguish between colours. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
