*Position Summary*
The Chef de partie is responsible for running the culinary side of events and maintaining the kitchen in an exceptionally safe, hygienic and organized condition, pre-preparing our dishes according to signature recipes and health standards, such that our food is presented on time, consistently and predictably while providing our guests with a visually appealing and delectable culinary experience.
*Primary Responsibilities*
* Run all aspects in the kitchen for Bellamere events including, cooking, plating, and organization of all food products
* Supervise assembly cooks in events operations and delegate assignments to cooks schedule for each event
* Be part of a team responsible for keeping the kitchen in an exceptionally safe, hygienic, and organized condition, according to food safety standards
* Assist in the pre-preparation of dishes according to signature recipes including chopping, portioning, seasoning and preparing ingredients
* Review the day?s prep list at the beginning of shift, taking direction from your supervisor as required
* Prepare, store and label all food and food leftovers according to Bellamere recipes
* Ensure all prepared food meets all known allergy or dietary concerns as outlined in the prep list
* Ensure that all kitchenware is cleaned and sanitized such that all food is prepared in a safe and healthy manner
* Be familiar with the menu, food, and plating for the assigned function
* Ensure food and service meet quality control standards
* Adhere to Bellemare?s Standard Operating Procedures
* Work diligently to ensure food quality is superior and report immediately any irregularities
* Work according to all of Bellamere?s health and safety standards
* Support with other duties as may be required

* Flawless execution of each event
* To be in uniform prior to the start of the shift.
* To ensure you sign in at the beginning of your shift, sign out at the end of your shift.
* To conduct yourself in a calm, ordered, and disciplined manner.
* Capable of working on a team, in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
* A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all staff.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Follow all standards as set out by Middlesex London Health Unit, Smart Serve (AGCO) and our Joint Health and Safety Committee.
* Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, which includes following Bellamere?s dress code for prep cooks.
* Ability to operate and clean common industrial kitchen tools such as Deep Fryer, Commercial mixers, Deli Slicer, Convection ovens, etc. properly and safely.
* Capable of working on a team, in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
* Able to work in a predominately standing position for extended periods of time.
* Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food or dishes when necessary.

*Job Specifications, Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:*
*Education*
* High school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary education in Food/Beverage would be an asset
*Experience*
* Experience in restaurant, hospitality or related industry
*Requirements*
* Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
* Food Handler?s Certificate (ideal)
