Responsibilities:
- Design and implement traffic control plans for various transportation projects
- Conduct traffic impact studies and analyze data to determine optimal traffic flow
- Develop and maintain traffic signal timing plans
- General knowledge of relevant transportation planning and traffic engineering policies, practices, and design standards in British Columbia
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed drawings and plans
- Experience and relationships with British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) is strongly preferred, but not explicitly required.
- Manage projects from conception to completion, including budgeting and scheduling
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in traffic engineering or related field
- Proficiency in designing traffic plans
- Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles, standards, and practices
- Experience with system design and analysis using tools such as ArcGIS
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and techniques
- *Licensed as a Professional Engineer in EGBC. REQUIRED*
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of transportation planning principles and methodologies
