Primeau Middle School and Morinville Community High School <p>Youth Success Coach - Indigenous Education Focus <p>Full Time 35 hours/week<p> (Ecole Georges H. Primeau Middle School 17.5 hrs/week & Morinville Community High School 17.5 hrs/week)Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools is located on the original lands of the Cree, those of Treaty 6, and on the homeland of the Mtis nation. We encourage applications from all qualified candidates.<p>Position: A Youth Success Coach is required to support students and families with furthering the students overall success. The Youth Success Coach will be working in the school setting to provide small groups and one on one mentoring. The Youth Success Coach will have a close connection with families and community supports and services.<p>Duties to Commence : August 23, 2024<p>Qualifications & Duties: Committed to being a model and witness to Christ-centered education values and beliefs.<p> Apply foundational knowledge about First Nations, Mtis and Inuit for the benefit of all students, and support the Divisions goals towards advancing Truth and Reconciliation.<p> Completion of a Child and Youth Care, Social Work Program, or equivalent post-secondary training and/or relevant experience.<p> Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with students with challenges, school learning teams, parents, and community partners.<p> Experience and ability to provide Indigenous cultural mentorship such as (but not limited to) language exposure, cultural awareness and belonging through Indigenous drum teachings, round dances, smudges, etc.<p> Displays a positive approach to students with social, emotional and behavioral needs.<p> Experience implementing positive, proactive behavioural interventions. Some training in applied behaviour analysis.<p> Experience modeling and coaching social skills and healthy boundaries.<p> Support students with transitions throughout the school day<p> Support families and caregivers with providing participation opportunities for youth in the community.<p> Provide support through relational interactions and activities.<p> Develop innovative and creative programming to meet the individual needs of youth and small groups of youth.<p> Empower youth to develop resilience and coping skills.<p> Support and promote healthy lifestyle choices.<p> Experience working with youth with a variety of backgrounds. <p>For more information on this position, please contact : <p>Nicole Baker, Principal Corinna Cormier, Acting Principal <p>Ecole Georges H.
