Our schools are teaching communities where principals, vice-principals, teachers and support staff nurture student well-being and challenge students to achieve their best.<p> We are seeking a creative, dynamic, committed professional to join our team: <p>General Manager, Program Services<p> 100% Regular<p>Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week<p>$125,934 to $146,993 (Union Exempt, Level 10)Reporting to the Superintendent of Program Services, the General Manager, Program Services, is responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of Ministry and District learning initiatives. The General Manager will work collaboratively with Program Services system principals, instructional coaches, and other district departments to support learning initiative implementation, prioritizing evidence of impact such that the impact informs the next change initiative. Specific responsibilities include overseeing the Family Reception Center (FRC), coordinating PPF initiatives and reporting, managing the department's finances, maintaining and building internal and external partnerships, and supporting district learning initiatives through a change leadership lens. Qualifications <p> Post-secondary education in a related field (preferably relevant to a K-12 education environment) and 3 years of related experience including managing, interpreting and communicating complex initiatives and data/sources of evidence. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered; <p> Experience in leading change, project management, program monitoring and evaluation, research and project design is considered an asset; <p> Knowledge of district policies and procedures relating to learning and information management; <p> Managerial skills for hiring, supervising and evaluating staff; as well as demonstrating leadership for coaching, mentoring, and motivating teams; demonstrated commitment to team work and team building; <p> Excellent communication skills to respond, clarify or request pertinent information from others, either in writing or through verbal conversations, and must demonstrate interpersonal qualities to establish and maintain effective working relationships. <p> Oral communication skills for making presentations, in a large or small group setting; and for interviewing and counseling employees; <p> Organizational skills, as well as time management techniques for organizing, planning and implementing programs/projects, juggling multiple demands and working within short and conflicting deadlines; <p> Significant judgment for decision-making and problem resolution; <p> High degree of discretion and tact when dealing with confidential and sensitive personal information; <p> Demonstrated commitment to and integration of human rights and equity principles <p> Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Suite and google applications), including word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail, and relevant database systems used to accomplish work. <p> Demonstrated knowledge of data management systems; <p> Demonstrated knowledge of using diverse online platforms for planning, monitoring, and reporting; <p> Experience in leading change initiatives.
