Property and real estate law. Tasks: Act as executor, trustee or guardian in family law matters. Advise clients of their legal rights and all matters related to law. Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law. Perform management functions related to the practice of law. Plead clients' cases before courts of law, tribunals and boards (lawyers only). Draw up legal documents and prepare statements of legal opinion. Draft federal, provincial or territorial government bills . Negotiate settlements of civil disputes (lawyers only). Represent interests of corporation/employer in all business related to legal matters. Act as executor, trustee or guardian in estate matters. Offer mediation, conciliation and arbitration services.
