Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Perform repair work on heavy trucks. Service attachments and working tools. Repair and maintain equipment. Perform scheduled maintenance service. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement. Area of specialization: Truck-trailer repair. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
