Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Load and unload goods. Perform brake adjustments. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Air Brakes Endorsement. Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Transportation/travel experience: National. Provincial/territorial. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel for extended periods. Willing to travel internationally. Willing to travel overnight. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Repetitive tasks. Sitting. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
