As a candidate, we encourage you to have an open dialogue with a member of our HR Team and ask compensation related questions, including pay details for this role.Job Description:Provide a broad range of risk analysis, reporting, monitoring and/or support to business partner requests and acting as a specialist/expert in providing guidance/ advice on a range of risk related matters within assigned or own area of specialization. May support and/or provide oversight, commentary, and strategy analysis in connection to team and/or individual initiatives.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESCUSTOMERDevelop and operationalize standards, policies and processes to identify, report and mitigate overall risk exposures within the business;Proactively analyze potential risks and ensure key risks are aggregated / escalated to appropriate areas;Support ongoing risk measurement activities by acquiring, analyzing and reporting business operational or relevant loss data;Establish and provide regular risk analysis and reporting on operational loss performance of the business;Support business with analysis and reporting on risk issues and their impact which may include scenario analysis;May be responsible for coordinating business continuity management (BCM) processes and supporting regulatory / compliance related initiatives impacting overall risks to the business (e.g. CDIC, anti-money laundering);Support established enterprise-wide risk escalation, review and approval processes, data management, policies and risk assessment processesContribute to the monitoring of Key Risk Indicators through the identification of key risk drivers for the businessMay also monitor/report on compliance, management, and strategic initiativesProvide regular commentary and industry analysis in supporting the development/ maintenance/ oversight of policies/ procedures/ practicesSHAREHOLDERAdhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for our business areaEnsure respective programs/policies/practices are well managed, meets business needs, complies with internal and external requirements, and aligns with business prioritiesConsistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriateEnsure business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements ( e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals and physical control of assets)Participate in cross-functional / enterprise / initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situationsConduct internal and external research projects; support the development/ delivery of presentations / communications to management or broader audienceConduct meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs/ policies/ practicesMonitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities existsLead / facilitate and/or implement actions / remediation plans to address performance / risk /governance issuesActively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or oversight functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirementsKeep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impactsMaintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetiteEMPLOYEE / TEAMParticipate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication
