*About position*
The HR Manager, North America, will report to the Chief People Officer located in Finland and lead one HR coordinator in Canada. This role primary focus will be to provide comprehensive and effective operational HR support and guidance to all Raute employees and managers in Canada (Vancouver area) and the US (Pullman area) in the wide range of daily people topics. This role will closely collaborate with the local leadership teams to ensure alignment and compliance with Raute's policies and practices and collaborate with the global HR network.
The HR Manager, North America will be located at the Raute Delta office (Vancouver area), while hybrid work is supported. Regular visits to Pullman office (e.g. quarterly) are needed, as well as flexibility to take joint calls in different time zones.
*Responsibilities*
· Employee relations: serve as the primary point of contact for all HR-related inquiries, concerns and grievances. Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations issues, incl. conflict resolutions. Conduct investigations into employee complaints and ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures. Manage and develop collaboration with employee representatives.
· Compliance: ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations and Raute policies, keeping constant follow up on changes. Ensure that local employment and benefit practices are established, employment contractual matters are properly prepared, maintained and developed regularly.
· Recruitment and onboarding: collaborate with hiring managers to identify resourcing needs, establish effective recruitment tactics and manage the end-to-end process until hiring recommendations. Oversee the onboarding process for new hires.
· Performance management, development and rewards: support by providing guidance, coaching and assisting in performance improvement plans and compensation decisions.
· Learning and development: support managers and employees to identify proper L&D needs, provide coordination for selected L&D initiatives.
· Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
· Generate regular HR reports to provide insights on local HR trends and KPIs.
· Participate in global development of wide range of people and culture topics and ensure their deployment and localization to your countries.
*Qualifications and Experience*
· Min. bachelor?s degree in HR, business administration, or a related field.
· Demonstrated experience in handling employee relations issues, handling sensitive data, and utilizing different talent acquisition and development concepts.
