Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Restaurant. Fast food. Tasks: Requisition food and kitchen supplies. Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food. Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards. Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions. Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff. Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets. Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food. Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions. Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Safe Food Handling certificate. Food Safety Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding.
