Maverick Industries Ltd ? Manufacturer of INTERSTEEL industrial waste & recycling containers is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant into our manufacturing team.
If you enjoy working in a cross functional team and various areas of the business, this position is for you! You will be responsible for general office administrative work and assisting various teams in the company. Your responsibilities also include sales and marketing support where you need to be social media savvy.
*Roles & Responsibilities:*
- Reception - answering phones, taking messages, helping guide walk-in customers
- Booking travel (flight, hotel, rental cars) - communicating itineraries & travel reimbursement requirements
- General errands - purchasing office supplies, picking up items, getting the mail, mailing cheques, etc
- Event/meeting planning - booking meeting rooms, organizing catering/food, technology prep, planning & organizing company & department events
- Accounting support - filing, sorting, timesheets/payroll
- HR support - recruiting & interview support, new employee training schedule, new hire packages, etc
- Production scheduling & logistics support - printing packing lists, quotes for shipping, admin tasks for scheduling WO?s
- Sales support - maintains customer lists, sales data & market trends, competitor research, customer surveys, data collection, submitting WO?s and quotes, managing contracts
- Marketing support - social media accounts, company/product pictures, decal printing and graphic design support, planning promotional events and campaigns, google & meta analytics
- Design and drafting support - proofreading and editing internal/external documents, testing of software, data entry
- General admin - monthly poster announcements - birthday, baby, wedding; purchasing birthday cards, baby gifts and GCs, etc
- Company announcements - health and safety meeting notes, HR internal postings, survey results, template creation, SOP support, organization of google drives and company

- Thorough with a keen eye and attention to detail
- Flexible and open to change
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Customer Service skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Creative and analytical
- Metric driven
- Social Media savvy
- Experience with SEO/SEM campaigns an asset (not required)
- Experience with research methods using data analytics software
- Solid computer skills, web analytics, Google and Google Adwords
- Proven work experience as a Marketing coordinator, or similar role
- Graphic and design experience

Hours: Mon - Fri 8am-4:30pm
