*Position Overview*
The Inventory clerk is responsible for issuing, receiving and shipping parts, equipment and supplies, physical inventory counts and processing returned materials. The role performs system and manual tasks to support inbound operations and is accountable for overseeing system and inventory accuracy and proactive identification of process breakdown, all while continually striving for process improvement. Responsibilities of the role may change over time to adapt to the needs of the business.
_Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following_
* Create inventory spreadsheets and perform inventory control activities
* Ensure cycle counts are performed consistently for inventory integrity and re-order points
* Generate purchase requisitions for replenishment of stock based on forecasts and min/max levels
* Monitor and report carrier performance and support carrier selection process
* Obtain ship rates for various routes using preferred carriers
* Count and sort incoming packages to verify receipt against truck. Courier waybills and suppliers' packing slips, purchase orders, while conducting visual inspections for damage and other anomalies. Record and Report anomalies/ damages
* Unpack, code, route and put away goods in appropriate storage areas
* Issue and maintain records of parts and stock allocation to technicians/staff
* Package and ship outbound goods, verifying quantities and conducting visual inspection, including special packaging/documentation requirements
* Responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of the warehouse and exterior storage areas
* Assist with management of the company fleet and vehicle maintenance
* May also be required to drive company vehicle or rental to pick up incoming stock or parts
* Other duties as may be determined, from time to time.
_Required Experiences and Skills:_
* High school diploma
* Minimum 1 year of shipping and receiving or inventory management experience
* 3 or More years driving experience. Valid Drivers License and current clean abstract
* High competency in Microsoft Applications, including: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Knowledge of customer service best practices and demonstrated sound customer service and conflict resolution skills.
* Pays attention to detail.
* Team-focused individual with excellent interpersonal skills, friendly personal, and ability to foster relationships with others.
* Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Working knowledge of Sage/Technisoft and related software considered a definite asset
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 ? 30 per week
