Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Prepare engineering designs and drawings. Develop and prepare design sketches. Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates. Write technical reports. Write specifications. Examine drawings for conformity and errors. Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements. Type of drafting: Detailing drafting. Type of service and repair: Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Computer and technology knowledge: AutoCAD. Autodesk REVIT. Area of specialization: Electro-mechanical drafting. Electrical. Mechanical. Buildings and structures. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail.
