Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Clothier. Tasks: Hand fold and bag shirts, sheets and other articles. Operate finishing equipment such as steam pressers, and use hand irons to finish pants, jackets, shirts, skirts and other dry cleaned and laundered articles. Assemble and bag finished articles. Use hand-held steam iron to touch up finished garments and other articles. Type of experience: Fine finishing work (wedding dresses, silks, velvets etc.). Equipment and machinery experience: Flat press. Hand-held steam irons. Shirt presser. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Repetitive tasks. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months. Support for newcomers and refugees: Does not require Canadian work experience. Support for Indigenous people: Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers .
