Various locations. Repair. Service. Residential. Tasks: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment. Repair cable signals. Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment. Inspect operation of telecommunications equipment. Complete and maintain test and service reports. Determine nature, cause and location of trouble. Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment. Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access. Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Vehicle supplied by employer. Willing to travel. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Manual dexterity. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Client focus. Flexibility. Initiative.
