Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Administer evaluative tests. Assist health care professionals. Assist physicians in the assessment of patients. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Develop information materials for patients. Examine the patient. Help physical therapists. Maintain prescription records . Administer evaluative tests and procedures. Clean and maintain equipment. Order and purchase equipment. Process claims such as health insurance or workers compensation. Collect statistics. Maintain clinical and progress reports. Maintain supplies. Maintain inventory of equipment. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Perform general clerical duties. Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas. Process files and paperwork. Schedule and confirm appointments. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Order supplies and equipment. Organize and maintain inventory.
