*Here's what we're looking for: *
We are seeking a passionate Head Chef to oversee and lead the kitchen. As an established restaurant, we want to continue pushing the culinary boundaries in the small city of Regina. Guests look to us to offer food, wine, and an experience they can only get in a larger center outside of Regina. The ideal candidate will be excited by what Homestead currently offers and encouraged to create and elevate our brand and experience. .
*Here's what you'll do as our Head Chef: *
* Have fun with a group of passionate, humble, and funny team members!
* Lead and manage the kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
* Create and update menus in line with seasonal availability and food cost targets
* Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and purveyors
* Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines
* Collaborate with management to develop new recipes and innovative dishes
* Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
*This is what we're looking for you to bring to the table (pun intended!): *
* 5 + years experience working in mid to high end restaurants that focus on consistency, quality, and forward-thinking food
* At least 5 years experience in kitchen management including inventory management, menu costing, staff scheduling
* Willing to relocate to Regina
* Excited about pushing the boundaries in the restaurant culinary scene
* A team player that focuses on the guest experience
* Basic knowledge of wine, and understands the general approach to food and wine pairing
* A self-starter that takes initiative and demonstrates leadership
* The ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* An in-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices
* An understanding of food cost control and budget management
* The necessary certifications in food safety and sanitation practices
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
