Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Design and develop power equipment and systems. Maintain equipment. Test power equipment and systems . Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports. Write specifications. Assist in inspecting, testing and adjusting electronic components. Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments. Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems. Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems. Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports. Investigate electrical or electronic failures. Area of specialization: Testing. Repair. Troubleshooting. Electronic test equipment. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Physically demanding. Personal suitability: Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Organized. Team player. Dedication. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees. Support for Indigenous people: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations . Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers .
