Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dusty. All weather conditions. Tasks: Apply fertilizers. Clean the crops. Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots. Dose water saturation, light and temperature as instructed for crop growth and development. Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market.. Harvest seedlings. Level earth to fine grade specifications. Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops. Seed cutting. Tie and secure plants. Clean work area. Fertilize and spray crops. Harvest crops. Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Hand-eye co-ordination. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Overtime required. Sitting. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Walking. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
