Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Private company, corporation or industry. Tasks: Prepare written material such as reports, briefs, website content. Produce educational and publicity programs and informational materials to awaken curiosity and interest in the subject matter. Develop social and economic profiles of an area to encourage industrial and commercial investment. Conduct comparative research on marketing strategies for industrial and commercial products. Prepare reports, research papers, educational texts or articles. Advise clients on advertising or sales promotion strategies. Answer written and oral inquiries. Assist in the preparation of brochures, reports, newsletters and other material. Co-ordinate special publicity events and promotions. Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys. Initiate and maintain contact with the media. Conduct analytical marketing studies. Develop portfolio of marketing materials. Conduct online marketing, E-commerce and Website promotions. Develop marketing strategies. Write and edit press releases, newsletter and communications materials. Copywrite. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office. MS Windows. MS Excel. MS Word. LinkedIn. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers . Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations . Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers . Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers . Supports for visible minorities: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities. Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities (for example: anonymizing the hiring process, etc.). Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
