Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Consulting engineering company. Manufacture. Tasks: Assist in inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects. Design tools, moulds, jigs and fixtures. Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings and specifications. Test machines and equipment. Assist in design and fabrication of experimental apparatus. Install electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Eligible for certification by a provincial or territorial association. Type of product: Electrical wiring devices. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Word. Area of work experience: Wiring. Area of specialization: Machinery and components. Steam, condensation and water systems. Custom fabrication. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability.
