Not only is the department responsible for managing over 18,000 kilometers of provincial highways, it also manages the planning, design and construction of hospitals, schools and other government buildings.What you will do?Reporting to the Bridge Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:assisting with various bridge and culvert maintenance; painting; jack hammering; assisting with construction of formwork; installing signs; patching bridges (shoveling and raking asphalt); installing and repairing guiderails and culverts; maintaining buildings and grounds; traffic control.Work environment:Work location: Bridge Division, Miramichi District Work holidays, weekends, shift and/or variable hours. May work in adverse road and weather conditions and working from heights. We promote a scent-reduced environment.Who you are?Key Behavioural CompetenciesEffective Interactive Communication Flexibility Results Orientation Teamwork and Cooperation Essential qualifications:Completion of grade ten (10) and a minimum of one (1) year related work experience. Valid Class 5 Driver's License as issued by the Province of New Brunswick.An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.Written and spoken competence in English is required.
