====================
*What is your ikigai (????)?*
We offer you the opportunity to grow... as a language teacher.
We are looking for people who are curious and find joy in learning. We are looking for people who believe the true foundation of communication is connection. We are looking for people who are fascinated by the richness of language, culture... and life.
Honestly, there will be challenges when you join our team. We are pioneers in our field, and always striving to improve, so there will be a lot for you to learn. You will need to be open to feedback and persevere - as great things take great effort - but you'll grow.
There are technological tools and aspects of language you'll need to master. And, our lessons are layered, so it'll take time for you to deliver them smoothly. However, we will be there for you, and provide extensive support. Our Academic Trainer and Japanese Head Teacher will help you develop your skills, express your talents, and work with you to draw out your best.
It is possible to teach from home - almost exclusively - but first *you will need to come downtown for an interview and training*. Additionally, you will need to have your set up at home - computer and connection - vetted. Further, if you opt to teach from home, you might need to purchase the texts we use for the levels you are teaching.
Language teaching experience is not necessary, but highly valued. And, if you have none, you will need to invest time in learning about the instruction, structure and usage of Japanese... it won't happen magically. Having a rich cultural background, and fluency in English and/or French a plus. Empathy and good listening skills a must. Note that there is particular demand in the evenings - *both for online and in-person lessons* - so you need to be available then.
We invite you to look at our website - *eqip123.com/japanese* - especially our blog - *eqip123.com/blog* - and get to know us. Then, if you're interested, send us a cover letter... taking the time to write about your life, background and passions, so we can get to know you... and a resume.
We are a space that strives to create the future, and we hope to travel with good people on this journey. We look forward to hearing from you.
