Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Scent free. Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment. Staff accommodation available. Work in employer's/client's home. Relocation costs covered by employer. Employer's home. Tasks: Administer bedside and personal care. Administer medications. Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene. Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk. Change non-sterile dressings. Feed or assist in feeding. Launder clothing and household linens. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Plan therapeutic diets and menus. Provide companionship. Provide personal care. Shop for food and household supplies. Prepare and serve nutritious meals. Cook. Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens. Tend to emotional well-being of children. Take children to and from school and to appointments. Supervise and care for children. Organize, activities such as games and outings for children. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children. Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents. Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents. Prepare infants and children for rest periods. Help children with homework. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Health Care Aide Certificate.
