Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. At heights. Work setting: Installation. Various locations. Tasks: Measure and mark sheet metal according to template. Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces. Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification. Instruct apprentices. Supervise other workers. Cut materials using power tools or by hand. Fit and join sheet metal parts. Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Sheet Metal Worker Trade Certification. Sheet Metal Worker Red Seal Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Specialization or experience: Air volume (VAC). Custom sheet metal items. Dust and fume collection system. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Humidifier system. Security and safety: Bondable. Basic security clearance. Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail.
