*Job Overview* We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Public Speaking Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communication, speech, and rhetoric and will be passionate about helping students develop their public speaking and presentation skills. *Responsibilities* - Teach public speaking skills, including speech writing, delivery techniques, audience engagement, and effective use of visual aids - Develop students' abilities to articulate their thoughts clearly, persuasively, and confidently - Incorporate various public speaking formats, such as informative speeches, persuasive speeches, debates, and impromptu speaking - Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages students to practice and improve their speaking skills - Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall learning experience *Experience* - Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Education, English, Communication, or a related field. - Previous experience teaching public speaking, or communication courses is highly desirable - Experience working with children or tutoring is preferred - Strong proficiency in English language - Classroom management skills are beneficial Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 ? 36 per week Additional pay: * Commission pay * Overtime pay Benefits: * Flexible schedule * On-site parking Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Education: * Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Experience: * teaching: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationMarkham, ON
