insulation supervisor

Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Tasks: Prepare production and other reports. Supervise workers and projects. Co-ordinate and schedule activities. Oversee apprenticeship training. Train or arrange for training. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Recommend personnel actions. Read blueprints and drawings. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Leading/instructing individuals. Select type of insulation required. Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation. Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials. Supervisory Experience. Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools. Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods. Supervision: 3-4 people. Working groups. Insulators. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Working at heights training. Insulator (heat and frost) Trade Certification. Insulator (heat and frost) Red Seal Certificate. Area of specialization: Cryogenic insulation. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Organized. Reliability. Team player. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Are you available for the advertised start date?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
