Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Remote location. Rehabilitation centre and special health institution. Tasks: Administer evaluative tests. Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures and record results, and monitor, check and calibrate auditory equipment. Assist health care professionals. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Help physical therapists. Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine. Set up and dismantle equipment. Clean and maintain equipment. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Assist chiropractor with patient health education. Maintain supplies. Maintain inventory of equipment. Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Order supplies and equipment. Organize and maintain inventory. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Outlook. MS Word.
