Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Confined spaces. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Perform pre-operational inspection. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Perform routine maintenance work. Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction. Direct traffic at or near construction sites. Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Experience: Will train. Support for newcomers and refugees: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees . Support for Indigenous people: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers .
