Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer. Dental practice. Tasks: Consult with dentists on patient care. Instruct patients regarding oral hygiene. Clean and stimulate the gums to prevent gum disease. Apply fluoride treatment. Remove stains and deposits from teeth. Take, develop and mount X-rays. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Eligible for professional liability insurance. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity. Fast-paced environment. Hand-eye co-ordination.
