Strategic Sourcing Group's (SSG) role, in collaboration with our business partners, is to create sustainable competitive advantage for TDBG by leveraging this third party spend and the expertise of our key suppliers to meet our needs, reduce total cost, and mitigate supply-related risks. Our role is global in scope and we have just embarked on a journey to transform the way we do sourcing, purchasing and vendor management within our department and more broadly across the organization. Our team is comprised of ~200 people who are in various TDBG locations across North America. Job Accountabilities:CUSTOMERDevelop and implement Global category strategies employing category management and best practicesDevelop and lead implementation of category and strategic sourcing strategies that support TD and business partner needs and objectives as well as help to mitigate risks to business and TDEnsure effective delivery of SSG services to business partners and prompt and thorough resolution of all business partner issuesProvide guidance on outsourcing governance best practices and provide counsel to business to ensure supplier arrangements meet all TD policy and regulatory requirementsContribute to the development and execution of the supplier transition activities, governance programs and management programsSHAREHOLDERWork closely with key business leaders to develop business plan, ensuring the optimal use of resources and leverage TD's operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scalePlan and execute on strategic activities, review and communicate results, and adjust tactics accordinglyExecute on the annual business plan to deliver results aligned with business strategiesManage overall budget, revenue and expenditures, meet business objectives while increasing efficiency and effectivenessProactively identify key business opportunities, research and recommend enhancements / modifications, develop strategies to achieve recommendations and work closely with team to execute and implementMonitor and communicate the effectiveness of strategies, programs, and practices related to own area of expertiseProtect the interests of the organization ? identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk transactions / activities as necessaryKeep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impactsMaintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetiteEnsure employees are knowledgeable; and assume responsibility to minimize operational and regulatory risk by complying with Bank and industry Code of ConductEMPLOYEE / TEAMCultivate and model the Colleague Promise to support colleague growth, and a culture of care; make an impact at work and in our communities by leading with authenticity and supporting well being to represent TD's brandConnect the alignment of colleague's contributions with the TD Shared Commitments Build and retain an engaged and diverse team that embraces diversity of thought, creativity and curiosity; where every colleague and customer are valued, respected, and listened to; committed to a common goal and collaborate to move with speed and get things doneDemonstrate inclusive leadership by taking meaningful action with intention to support colleagues and customers across all dimensions of diversity, including those from underrepresented communities, being actively anti-racist, attracting and retaining diverse slate of candidates, nurturing mutual respect, inclusivity of thought and collabora
