Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Recommend measures to improve productivity . Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Co-ordinate and schedule activities. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. Calibrate products using hand tools. Supervision: Heavy duty equipment mechanics. Electrical mechanics. Industrial mechanics. Policy and program experience: Workplace training and development.
