Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Professionalism in customer service. Load and unload goods. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles). Driver's License (Class 1 or A). First Aid Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Dump truck. Communication systems experience: Citizens band (CB) radio. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Sitting. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Hard hat. Steel-toed safety boots. Safety vest. Gloves.
