<p> TEMPORARY COMPUTER TECHNICIAN - LEVEL 2<p> 35 Hours Per Week - 12 Month Position - Full Time (1.0 FTE) <p>Effective: Immediately; End Date: December 20, 2024 Qualifications Successful completion of a two year post secondary diploma program in Computer Electronics or Information Systems, A+ Certification and Microsoft Certified Professional/Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, plus a minimum of two years of related job experience.<p> Strong working knowledge of server technologies.<p> Strong working knowledge of current versions of various software applications, operating systems and servers.<p> Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.<p> Ability to prioritize, multi-task workload, work independently and in a team environment.<p> Analytical, planning, organizational and problem-solving skills essential.<p> Self-motivated learner with the ability to learn emerging technologies, software and trends.<p> Must have reliable transportation to travel to various sites within the Board.<p> Ability to perform required physical tasks, including lifting computer related equipment. Duties/Responsibilities Install, configure and troubleshoot: Windows and other Operating Systems as they are implemented on workstations and laptops.<p> Windows and other network operating systems<p> Educational and administrative software, as required, as they are implemented on servers, workstations, PCs and laptops. <p> Maintain and upgrade all computer equipment.<p> Maintain and provide technical support for: LAN, Network management, all versions of operating systems on workstations and servers, all network-based computers and all standalone computers.<p> Maintain and provide technical support for Board personnel, as required.<p> Install and configure new and existing workstations, servers, PC and server devices and peripherals.<p> Implement software, hardware and technical solutions for Board owned computer equipment, as required.<p> Monitor, prioritize and respond to work orders as they occur.<p> Provide Help Desk support, as required.<p> Deploy security and upgrade solutions to servers and workstations, as required.<p> Contact external vendors to resolve any hardware/software/server problems or warranty issues, as they arise, ordering parts, as needed.<p> Establish and maintain up-to-date documentation on all operation and installation duties performed.<p> Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager of IT.About us: <p>The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board provides a Christ-centered education to over 11,000 students.
