We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Designer/Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of custom generator products using SolidWorks. This role is critical in ensuring that our engineering solutions meet both internal standards and regulatory compliance for safety and efficiency.

*Key Responsibilities*
* Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including other engineers, project managers, and construction staff, to develop and design custom generator assemblies, from conceptual design to operational support.
* Manage projects as assigned and complete work in an efficient and timely manner.
* Create and manage 3D assemblies using 3D SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
* Create and revise complete product drawing packages, including fabrication, vendor and assembly drawings.
* Create and revise customer submittals, installation guides, and Bill of Materials.
· Research and develop product designs, and verify technical specifications used in the design process.
*Qualifications*
* Highly developed organizational skills with strong time management skills and ability to prioritize.
* Ability to pay close attention to details and drive for excellence.
* Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
* Graduated from a Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technology related program at the University or College level.
* At least 3-5 years of previous experience in mechanical design or other related fields.
* Advanced experience using 3D SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Advanced experience in creating 2D drawings and process & instrumentation (P&ID) diagrams.
* Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts.
* Knowledge of enclosure design (not required but considered an asset).
* Knowledge of fabrication processes, especially sheet metal (not required but considered an asset).
* Knowledge of hydronic system design and pipe routing (not required but considered an asset).
* Ability to effectively communicate ideas to others and follow instructions.
